Jimmy Stein first appeared for Dunfermline as a trialist in October 1924 after gaining a reputation as a centre forward with West Lothian juniors Blackburn Rovers.
Converted to a winger, he was a vital member of the team that won the Second Division title in 1925/6, his deadly crosses provided many of Bobby Skinner`s goals while he made good use of his own powerful shot, netting 21 times himself.
Jimmy was sold to Everton in 1928 for £1,500 and went on to gain winners` medals in the League Championship and FA Cup, netting in the 1933 Final against Manchester City.
